American Astronauts reached the International Space Station

Robert Behnken and Douglas Hurley, the American Astronauts, have successfully left the Crew Dragon capsule of Space X and landed on the International space station (ISS). On Sunday morning, Space X Crew Dragon reached the ISS at 10:16 am ET after taking off from Florida's Kennedy Space station on Saturday following the 19-hours of traveling.

After reaching on the destination and making the initial contact with ISS, Space X's Crew Dragon goes through a series of rounds to connect the space capsule with the port, which includes creating an air-locked seal before opening the first two incubates. Behnken and Hurley are scheduled to remain on the space station along with their spacecraft for 30 to 90 days or a maximum of up to 110 days.

The spacecraft entered International Space Station cautiously on Sunday morning and made its first soft capture with the ISS dock station. After that, it made a hard capture that contains the use of 12 latches to develop an air-locked seal between the Behnken-Hurley cabin and ISS' entrance. Moreover, it also involves the connection Capsule's power supply with the International Space Station.

At 1:15 pm, ET, Behnken, and Hurley left the capsule with the smiling faces and put their first step on the Space Station, where the already onboard Russian cosmonauts Christopher Cassidy and Anatoli Ivanishin welcomed them with the open hearts along with the fellow NASA astronaut Ivan Vagner. The NASA's admin Jim Bridenstine made contact with the station from the control room in Houston, Texas, via a phone call.

The admin states that the United States admires these astronauts and their work, which they are doing for the country; they are an inspiration to the entire world. Upon asking about their 19-hours journey in the Space X's Crew Dragon, Hurley replied that they might not like the spacecraft's performance.
