Bundesliga: Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig's match resulted in a Draw

On Sunday, Bayern Munich, the Bundesliga bests, are held back by visiting team RB Leipzig with 0-0 draw and missed an opportunity of increasing the lead at the rankings table; RBL stays second to them with just a few points short.

Munich that is currently leading the ranking table with 43 points remained aggressive at the first half of the game but unfortunately didn’t manage to score despite getting a fair chance for Robert Lewandowsky.

RBL, which is continuously on losing streak since the last four matches, were looking for some opening with patience, and they got one in the second half, but both Timo Werner and Marcel Sabitzer didn’t manage to kick it into the net and thus wasted their opportunity to score.

Later, at the 80th minute of the game, Peter Gulacsi, the RB’s goalie blocked the ball kicked by Leon Goretzka; it was the best chance for Munich for getting lead, but they squandered it.

The other match between Monchengladbach and FC Koln was suspended because of storm warning; Borussia is at 4rth spot in the rankings table with 39 points. Read the Marcel Halstenberg biography,  the RB Leipzig's left back here.

Currently, Dortmund is at third position with 39 points, Dortmund and Borussia are at equal points, and both are giving tough time to each other. Bayer, Schalke 04 and Hoffenheim are at 5, 6 and 7 spots in the table with 37, 35 and 33 points.

To be honest, we were expecting more from Schalke and its disappointing to see them at the bottom. But there is still a long way to go so anything can happen. Maybe, we would see some major upsets in the coming matches, who knows? But, honestly, upsets make a big disturbance in the table, and that’s what makes the league more thrilling and exciting. We see the giants winning the cups all the time, but seeing some small club doing something extraordinary makes this game fantastic.
