KFVE is known to be an affiliate network of MyNetworkTV which telecasts in Hawaii on Channel 9. The station was established on 7 February 1988; it is owned by MCG Capital Corporation and Nexstar Media Group. Raycom Media which is an owner of KHNL and KGMB under Transitional Services Agreement (TSA) provides the part of services. Its transmitter location is Akupu, Hawaii however the studios are with KGMB and KHNL in downtown Honolulu facility on Waiakamilo Road. 

KFVE, the home team carries a wide array of shows which include national and local news, sports and weather updates, contests, trending stuff and much more. 


It was officially aired on 7 Feb 1988, KFVE was originally brought into a function to telecast repeats o small-budget shows such as Hawaii Five-O. Later it started to host syndicated content and movies, and it is available on channel 5. By 1990 it was originally broadcasting shows generated by KMGT: Channel 26, later they began to broadcast religious programs. In its early years, it had to telecast Japanese Dramas as well because it was a low-budget broadcaster. Though, in 1993 things were entirely different when KHNL handled the management of the channel under Local Marketing Agreement made by two. Later the operations of both channels were merged into the same facility of KHNL. When KHNL began to take care of the network, the transmission of Athletics Competition in Hawaii University was shifted to KFVE. KFVE Honolulu K5 Watch Live Streaming here.

On January 16, 1995, KFVE became UPN’s charter affiliate and was named as K-5 UPN Hawaii. On 28 December 1998, it signed a contract with The WB and got secondary affiliation of the service. On 2 September 2002, after four years, it terminated the partnership with UPN and became a primary affiliate of WB. 

KFVE has satellite networks in the Hawaiian Islands’ range as it spreads in the metropolitan regions of Honolulu.
