Schalke is Looking to Replace their Goalie Alexander Nubel with Markus Schubert

Schalke declared that Alexander Nubel will no longer serve the club at the end of the season 2019/20 and that Markus Schubert, a 21 years old player is all set to replace him as a goalie of the team.

Here we will tell you all about the newest member of team Markus Schubert.

Markus emerged from SV Lok Nossen academy based at the east side of Germany and started his career at Dresden in 2011 at the age of 13. After four years, when he was 17, he played his first senior match for Dynamo Dresden in the third tier of Germany. Markus was not much intimidating, but also, he wasn’t a dead weight to the team, he kept a clean slate, although because of his sole presence, Dynamo managed to get promotion in that year. He waited 790 days for his next senior appearance in the league and performed well during a nine-game haul, including four victories and two clean sheets.

By playing 31 games and keeping nine clean sheets, Schubert became the number one Dresden Player till the season 2018/19. Later, Schalke hired him for the club, and the youngster got his first match appearance against the Royal Blues because Nubel had to sit down because of the red card. It was an opportunity for German Goalie to claim a regular spot in the team by keeping Frankfurt out and leading his side to win; in the first three appearances of Markus, Schalke remained unbeaten with one win and two draws. You can get to know all personal information about Markus Schubert here.

It is maybe nothing but seems like Schubert plays a little bit like Manuel Neuer, who came from Knappenschmiede Academy (a well-known German Football Academy). He has raised a bar to an extent for all the other goalkeepers around. Markus is maybe not as much talented as Neuer, but still, he is a terrific Goalie and has a lot of time to develop his game.
