Countries Having the Most Time Zones
Time zone is noted in the places where there is uniform
territory, it is observed for cultural, legal and social purposes. It is
important to keep in check the times of different areas of the world, so Time
Zone is helpful here regarding that. It can allow a specific place to have the
same time all over, except the fact that how greater in size that is, and it
also doesn’t matter if the timing of the setting of the sun is different in
different regions of that specific place. We can differentiate different time
zones from one another based on the timeline called UTC (Coordinated Universal
Time). The time zone ranges from UTC -12 to UTC +12; it is because there are 24
hours in a day.
Commonly the time zones of different territories, states and
countries are the decrement or increment of the whole numbers. But that is not
a fast and hard rule to be considered. Let’s see two regions that are different
from culture but do not contain much distance of combined longitude between
them, then, in that case, the time would not be in full hours offset; instead
it would be a half hour offset. For Instance, India contains UTC +5:30 as the
standard time zone.
France is said to be the Top in ranking containing around 12
time zones. It may look like little inexplicable to know that a small country
like France contains twelve Time Zones, but it has many overseas territories on
the other hand. The time in those territories has a range from UTC -12 to UTC
+12.
There are total 11 time zones in the United States, which
puts it in second place. Out of 11, six are for the Hawaii and Mainland USA,
while the rest are for American Samoa, Puerto Rico and other territories. In
Ranking it is above from Russia, as it contains two unofficial time zones too.
