Mousa Dembele Soccer Player

Mousa Dembele is a pro-soccer player from Belgium who was born on 16 July 1987; he plays for Belgium National Team as well as for Tottenham Hotspur. He is recognized as one of the greatest box-to-box fielders, Dembele currently possesses sixty caps for a national side. His career began at Belgian Professional League with Germinal beerschot after that he went to AZ of Eredivisie and Willem II for short period of time and won League Title and Johan Cruyff Shield. In 2010, Mousa successfully got a position in Fulham (an English Premier League), later he eventually settled in Hotspur in August 2012. In 2012, he was one of the 100 best soccer players of the year; he managed to get the 91st position.  

Mousa was a child of Tilly Huygens (a Belgian Mother) and Yaya (a Malian Father) in Wilrijk, Antwerp; the ethnicity of her mother is Flemish. He along with his club spells his name Mousa which is actually spelled as Moussa.

During young age, Mousa Dembele was a member of K.Berchem Sport after that he turned professional at Germinal Beerschot. Mousa made his debut in Belgian Pro League versus Charleroi on 24 April 2004. He preferred Willem II Youth System over Eredivisie AFC Ajax; however, he had a great scope in Eredivisie.

On 29 August 2012, Dembele entered into Tottenham Hotspur, and they bought him for 15 million pounds. On 1st September 2012, he started his first match for the club at home against Norwich City; that game was a 1-1 draw. He kicked a last-minute goal against Olympique Lyonnais and put the opposition out of the Europa League for sure on 21 February 2013; his team qualified for the Round 16 of the tournament. 


On 20 May 2006, Dembele appeared in his first match for the Belgian national side against Slovakia in place of Pieroni. He kicked his maiden goal for his side against Azerbaijan. He took part in 2008 Summer Olympics, everyone impressed by his splendid performance as he clinched a 3-2 win over Italy. His side lost from Nigerian team in Semi-finals, they also faced defeat against Brazil in 3rd place play-offs while Dembele was all in six games at Beijing. In 2014 FIFA World Cup Squad, they put his name too. The Belgian played sixty-five minutes of their first World Cup game versus Algeria, but then he was substituted by Fellaini; that game was a victory of a 2-1 score.
