Countries Producing Large Amount of Peanuts in the World

1: China

China is the all-time number one country on the list since the year 2006. Around 18.7 million metric tons of peanuts are produced by China every year. Mostly the cultivation is carried out in Northern and Southern parts of the country. Different verities of this crop are mostly produced in provinces like Shandon, Jiangsu, Guangdong, Hebei, and Henan. All these provinces alone produce fifty percent of the total production. 

2: India

India contains land stretches which are very suitable for cultivation and farming; it is because of its hot land that India is known as the second highest peanut producing country in the world. It is second among the countries producing large amounts of peanuts in the world. Every year, around 6.8 million metric tons of peanuts are produced by the nation. India produces 21 percent of the total world peanut production. Plus, it extracts 25 percent of the total world’s peanut oil. 

3: USA 

In the USA, total 13 states cultivate the most of the peanut which are Alabama, Texas, Florida, Virginia, Oklahoma and North Carolina. All these areas have around 25000 farmers who work to produce 99 percent of the overall country’s production. Its yearly production crosses the figure of 4.1 million metric tons.
