What is the Latest YouTube Partner Program
The YouTube Partner Program is restricting its rules, and it
is raising its requirements that a creator and channel need to monetize their
videos. If anyone wants to apply for monetization or put ads on the videos,
then he must have watch time of 4000 hours within the last 12 months and
contain around 1000 subscribers. This latest policy was implemented on all
existing channel as of 20 February 2018, reflecting the fact that those
channels which fail to fulfill the policy will no longer be available for
viewing the ads.
So as of now, any Channel which will apply to YouTube
Partner Program will have to follow this latest threshold in order to put ads
on videos. YouTube clearly explained the sudden change in rules of their YPP
that it will let them significantly improve their capability to recognize
creators who help in driving more ad revenue to them and contribute positively
to the community (and avoided the bad factors). Also, this step will help them
preventing the monetization of potentially inappropriate videos which can be
bad for the revenue.
All of this fuss began, when one of the star influencers and
creators of YouTube known as Logan Paul put a video of a dead body in
Aokigahara forest of Japan. Hence last week, YouTube kicked off Paul from its
Google Preferred ad program, and since then his account has been on hold.
But this is not the only problem here; the advertisers are
complaining from four years that their ads appear on inappropriate videos
unexpectedly on YouTube. Thus, for this problem, the platform was promising
them repeatedly about rectifying the issue, and now they have finally
implemented some solution. We think this new rigorous monetization structure is
the most aggressive step taken by YouTube so far. In the last years, there were
complains about some series of disturbing and bizarre videos targeted at
children specifically. But don’t you worry guys; still, you have a chance to
earn on YouTube, you just have to put some more effort and time on it. Create your
channel and try to upload some good videos, and if you want to upload only
audio formats, then you can select any YouTube to mp3 online converter for
that.
So, YouTube is still an open source for all of the creators
for making money, as its primary goal is to make a lot of money from the
advertisements. Hence both YouTube and Google have eligible right to set as
many rules as they want.
