The YouTube Partner Program is restricting its rules, and it is raising its requirements that a creator and channel need to monetize their videos. If anyone wants to apply for monetization or put ads on the videos, then he must have watch time of 4000 hours within the last 12 months and contain around 1000 subscribers. This latest policy was implemented on all existing channel as of 20 February 2018, reflecting the fact that those channels which fail to fulfill the policy will no longer be available for viewing the ads. So as of now, any Channel which will apply to YouTube Partner Program will have to follow this latest threshold in order to put ads on videos.
