CKBN 90,5 FM is community station of French language telecasting from Bécancour, Quebec . The tagline used for the community broadcaster is The Voice of the South Shore ( La Voix de la Rive-sud ). On 30 June 2004, the channel was approved by Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunication Commission by the struggle of an applicant Coopérative de solidarité radio communautaire Nicolet-Yamaska-Bécancour, Quebec to launch a Francophone community station on 90.5 MHz frequency with 34000 watts Extended radiated power. Overall 126 hours of programming would be broadcasting out of which 116 would be the locally produced content by the station. These authorized contours were not of the interest of the applicant.
